HP Laptops Review

HP Envy 17, dm4t, dv5t, dv6t, dv7t select, G42, G72 Laptops Review
HP released a whole number of new laptops last week, updating virtually their entire line with better hardware and more attractive looks.

We heard these were coming about two weeks ago, from the Envy 14/17 (pictured) to the Pavilions to the Minis, and HP has gone and updated its G-series notebooks too just for kicks. While you’ll have to wait until mid-June for the Envy 14 and the Minis, the rest of the gang has landed today.

HP has recently done a lot of work in updating their consumer products, including Pavilion notebooks, G-Series notebooks and Envy notebooks. Many of them have a redesigned brushed metal chassis as well as updated internals. As part of what might become a weekly ritual here at Laptopical.com, I’ll walk you through some of the best new releases of this week. Take a look below.

1.''The new 14″ HP dm4t (pictured) starting at $729.99 is a portable (4.4lb, 1″ thick), Core 2010 and dedicated GPU packing powerhouse.
2.''The new 14.5″ HP dv5 starting at $799.99 can come in either Core 2010 or AMD varieties.
3.''The 15.6″ HP dv6 starting at $699.99 has gotten a nice refresh too, and is also available with Core 2010 or AMD.
4.''The new 15.6″ HP dv6 select edition starting at $749.99 is unique in that it features an optional touchscreen, plus it goes up to Core i7.
5.''The new HP dv7 select edition starting at $849.99 is now available with power going up to mobile quad-core CPUs.
6.''The new HP Envy 17 starting at $1399.99 brings a new form factor and more power to the Envy line.
7.''The new 14″ HP G42 starting at $549.99 features any Core i3-i5-i7 CPU in a lightweight package.
8.''The new 17.3″ HP G72 starting at $599.99 does that too but with a bigger screen.

At the same time the HP dv4i, dm3t and G71t bid us a fond farewell. Many of these new laptops feature a redesigned brushed metal chassis and a lot of overall improvements in both appearance and hardware, so you probably won’t miss those bygone models too badly.
